Overview
Central Park Neighborhood Church (“CPNC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates cpnc.org and related church-admin tools, including CPNC Broadcast Hub. This policy explains how information may be handled when these services are used.
CPNC Broadcast Hub and Facebook
CPNC Broadcast Hub is an internal administrative tool used by authorized church staff and volunteers to manage Central Park Neighborhood Church’s own Facebook Page and livestreams. It is not offered as a public Facebook application for general users.
When an authorized administrator connects Facebook, the tool may receive or use information and permissions that Meta provides for the church Page, such as:
- Page identifiers, Page name, and authorization/permission status;
- authorization credentials or access tokens needed to perform approved Page actions;
- content and livestream metadata, such as titles, descriptions, Live Video IDs, publishing status, and technical results returned by Meta;
- technical logs needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the integration.
CPNC Broadcast Hub uses this information only to administer the church’s own Page, publish or manage church content and livestreams, diagnose the connection, and maintain the service. We do not sell Facebook user data or use it for third-party advertising.
Website information
Like most websites, cpnc.org may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request information, device/browser details, and security or performance logs. CPNC also keeps limited, privacy-focused usage statistics so we can understand which pages are useful and whether sermon audio/video is actually being used. Our custom statistics do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or a long-lived visitor profile. For website traffic, the browser creates a random temporary session identifier in session storage; CPNC receives only a shortened one-way hash of that random value. It is used to estimate visits and page usage during that browser session and is not intended to identify a person. We also reduce referral information to broad categories such as Google, Facebook, YouTube, Bing, another website, or Direct / Unknown rather than storing a full referring URL or query string. We do not store names, email addresses, account identities, IP addresses, or precise location in these custom analytics records. Third-party services embedded or linked from the site may process information under their own privacy policies.
CPNC Church Text Alerts
When you subscribe to CPNC Church Text Alerts, we may collect your name, mobile phone number, messaging preferences, group memberships, opt-in and opt-out status, and messages you send to the church text number.
To protect the text service from abuse, CPNC may also temporarily retain a phone number and limited messaging-activity records when a number contacts the church text line, including when the number is not subscribed. These records are used only for security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service administration.
We use this information to provide communications you have requested, including church announcements, event reminders, schedule changes, prayer alerts, and responses to messages you send us. We may also use the information to maintain subscription records, administer the service, and comply with messaging requirements.
If an approved member submits a prayer request by text, the request is placed in a private CPNC admin inbox. Prayer requests are not automatically distributed to other subscribers. Prayer requests are automatically deleted from the CPNC admin inbox after one year, and may be deleted sooner by an authorized administrator. An authorized CPNC administrator decides whether a request should remain private, receive a private reply, or be shared with an appropriate church prayer group.
Mobile information and SMS consent
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, and opt-in information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use service providers necessary to operate the messaging service, such as telecommunications and technology providers, solely for purposes related to providing and administering the service.
CPNC Church Text Alerts may include church announcements, event reminders, schedule changes, and prayer alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. See the CPNC Church Text Alerts Terms for more information.
How information is stored and protected
Administrative credentials and technical identifiers are limited to authorized systems and personnel and are retained only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the church’s services. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
Third-party services
CPNC uses service providers to operate parts of its website, media, and social publishing workflow. Those providers may process information as needed to provide their services and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Facebook data deletion
If you are an administrator who authorized CPNC Broadcast Hub and you want information associated with that authorization removed from CPNC-controlled systems, email info@cpnc.org with the subject CPNC Broadcast Hub Data Deletion Request. Please identify the Facebook Page or account authorization involved so we can locate the relevant records.
After verifying the request, CPNC will remove applicable stored authorization credentials and related app data from CPNC-controlled systems, except information that must be retained for security, legal, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes. You may also revoke the app’s Facebook permissions from your Meta/Facebook account settings.
Children
CPNC Broadcast Hub is an administrative tool and is not intended for use by children. The public church website is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly request sensitive personal information from children through the Broadcast Hub.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, integrations, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
